Whether you get your cardio workout from walking, running or cycling here is a wonderful and exciting event happening on Monday, October 18, 2010. The Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network is a unique multi-day event where participants can walk, run THE countdown is on to the 2014 International Children's Games. This Friday, October 17, will mark 50 days until the Games land in Lake Macquarie from December 6 to 11. To celebrate, Lake Macquarie City Council is holding a School Torch Relay. Twenty Runners turned out for the Chicago leg of the Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The coast-to-coast relay raises money for 170 hospitals. Money from the Chicago relay goes to Lurie Children's Hospital. The torch relay for Children's Miracle Network hospitals is a multiday event that traverses the country each fall, with participants walking, running and cycling to raise funds for their local Children's Miracle Network hospital. The Houston torch relay is More than 1,000 children from 107 schools in Sunderland are taking part in an Olympic torch relay. The event is funded by the Olympic Organising Committee. It aims to bring some of the excitement of the build up to the games to Wearside and to make sure The Torch Relay will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 5 at Livingston Park, 700 Children's Drive. TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Tucson walkers and runners are invited to meet at Starr Pass Resort at 8:00 a.m. for the Tucson leg of the nationwide Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This 5K run or one-mile walk kicks off at 3800 W. Starr Pass Blvd. Ten-month-old Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer patient, Bela, who is now cancer free, lined up at the starting line at the 28th Annual Torch Run surrounded by family and supporters.
